Helping your child find their way
Watching your child struggle with worry, big feelings or confidence can be difficult, especially when you're not sure how best to help.

Future Me offers child-centred coaching to help children and teens better understand themselves, make sense of their emotions and develop the confidence and resilience to navigate life's challenges. My aim is to give each young person a supportive space where they feel listened to, understood and able to be themselves.

What might your child be experiencing?

Emotional understanding and resilience
Does your child find it hard to explain how they feel, manage frustration or cope when things don't go to plan?
Â
Do their feelings build up, do they struggle with change or setbacks, or find it difficult to see a way forward when things feel hard?

Coaching can help them recognise and understand their emotions, identify what helps them and develop practical ways to navigate challenges.

Self-confidence and self-belief
Does your child doubt themselves, give up when something feels difficult, compare themselves to others or find it hard to speak up?
Â
Do they put pressure on themselves to get things right or struggle to recognise their own strengths.

Coaching can help them recognise what they bring, develop a kinder view of themselves, express their needs and build confidence in their own decisions.

Anxiety and worry
Does your child worry about school, friendships, making mistakes or what other people think?
Â
Do they find certain situations overwhelming, seek lots of reassurance or struggle with worries that are difficult to switch off?

Coaching can help them explore their worries, recognise what may be contributing to them and identify strategies that help them feel more equipped to manage everyday challenges.

A space for your child to be themselves
There isn't a one size fits all approach to supporting children and teens. I take time to get to know each young person, understand what's important to them and build a relationship where they feel comfortable and listened to.

Sessions are adapted to their age, personality and needs. Depending on what works best for them, we might use creative activities, games, stories, practical exercises or conversation to explore thoughts and feelings, recognise strengths and find useful ways forward.

Coaching isn't about telling children what to do or trying to change who they are. It's about helping them find their own answers, build self-awareness and take manageable steps towards the changes that matter to them.

Parents have an important role, too. I aim to work in partnership with you while keeping your child's voice, comfort and involvement at the heart of the process.
How it works
01
Get in touch
Book a free, 20 minute discovery call. It's an opportunity to share a little about your child, ask questions and explore whether coaching might be a good fit.
02
Understanding your child’s needs
If we decide to explore coaching further, we'll discuss your child's needs in more depth, what's been happening and what they would like support with. I'll explain how the coaching works in more detail, share the relevant consent and safeguarding arrangements, and the practical details before anything begins.
03
Begin Coaching
Once everything is in place, we'll arrange sessions and agree an initial focus. I'll work with your child at their pace, reviewing what's useful as we go and adapting my approach to suit them.
Common Questions
What age groups do you work with?
I support children and teenagers ages 5-19 years, adapting my approach to their age, stage of development and individual needs. If you're unsure whether coaching would be suitable for your child, we can explore this during a discovery call.
How long are the coaching sessions?
Sessions are typically 50-60 minutes long and initially take place on a weekly basis. This time and commitment provides a focused space for reflection and working towards the goals they have set.
What is child and adolescent coaching?
Coaching provides a supportive space for a young person to explore what's important to them, better understand their thoughts and feelings, recognise their strengths and identify practical steps towards their goals. It is different from counselling or therapy and isn't intended to diagnose or treat mental health conditions.
Will everything my child says be kept confidential?
Building trust and respecting your child's privacy are important. I'll explain confidentiality and its limits in an age-appropriate way before coaching begins. If I become concerned that a child or someone else may be at risk of harm, I may need to share relevant information with appropriate people to help keep them safe.
Does my child need to want coaching?
It helps if your child has the opportunity to understand what coaching is and have a say in taking part. I aim to build trust without pressure, giving them time to get comfortable and helping them feel involved in the process.
What are the costs?
Coaching is booked in blocks of sessions to provide consistency and give your child time to build trust, explore what's important to them and develop new skills.
-
6-session block: £360 (£60 per session)
-
8-session block: £450 (£56.25 per session)
Once your child has completed their initial six sessions, further sessions can be booked individually if we feel ongoing coaching would be helpful and appropriate for them. This flexible approach allows us to review progress together and decide what feels right for your child.
Will I be involved in my child's sessions?
Parents are an important part of the wider process. We'll discuss your role and how communication will work before coaching begins, taking account of your child's age, needs and appropriate boundaries. The aim is to work in partnership while giving your child space to develop their own voice.
How do I book a session?
You can easily book a session through clicking the link below or completing and submitting the contact form. I'll then be in touch to confirm an appointment. You don't need to have all the answers before getting in touch. A discovery call is a chance to share what's been happening, ask questions and explore whether Future Me could be the right support for your child.
